Tickets are NOT included and must be purchased. Tickets will be on sale as of April 1st, 2024 at 8am. You can purchase tickets here. Tickets are first come first serve.

SHOWCASE MEETINGS
APRIL 8-13th, 2024

We will be having showcase meetings during regularly scheduled classes the week of April 8th- 13th, 2024. We ask that at least one parent and/or guardian come to your movers class to review all of the details for the showcase. If you can not attend you can come to another class of the same level that week. Dancers will also try on their costumes this week. They should come dressed in dance clothes.

COSTUME INFORMATION

The Institute will be providing a costume for your mover for the performance.  Costumes will be picked up at dress rehearsal on May 18th, 2024 and returned after the showcase on May 19th, 2024.  All students will need to provide their own tights, shoes and any necessary undergarments. You can find those items here. Fancy Dancer will also have tights, shoes and leotards available for purchase at the studio during showcase meeting week April 8th-April 13th, 2024

All movers need to have their hair securely away from their face in a low bun if possible. Makeup is not necessary, but if you do want your mover to have some makeup on, the best thing to do is to keep it simple! (lipstick, blush, and/or eyeshadow) Below is the list of undergarments and what you need to provide for your mover. 

Any Imaginative Movement, Ballet Class, and Saturday Ballet/Jazz:

• (Female Identifying) Black Skinny Strap Leotard, Pink or Flesh Tone Tights and matching ballet shoes.

• (Male Identifying) White under shirt, Black Jazz Pants and Any Color Ballet Shoes

Any Jazz Class, Monday Ballet/Jazz and Wednesday Ballet/Jazz:

• (Female Identifying) Black Skinny Strap Leotard, Black Tights and Black Jazz Shoes

• (Male Identifying) Black Tight Fitting T-Shirt, Black Jazz Pants and Black Jazz Shoes

Saturday Jazz/Tap:

• (Female Identifying) Black Skinny Strap Leotard, Black Tights and Black Tap Shoes

• (Male Identifying) White Tight fitting T-shirt, Black Jazz Pants and Black Tap Shoes

Thursday Tap Class:

• (Female Identifying) Black Skinny Strap Leotard, Black Tights and Black Tap Shoes

• (Male Identifying) Black Tight Fitting T-shirt, Black Jazz Pants and Black Tap Shoes

Any Modern and Contemporary Classes:

• (Female Identifying) Black Skinny Strap Leotard, Black Convertible Tights

• (Male Identifying) Black Tight Fitting T-shirt and Black Jazz Pants 

Any Hip Hop Classes:

• (Female Identifying) Black Skinny Strap Leotard, Any color tights, any color sneakers

• (Male Identifying)  Black Tight Fitting T-shirt, Black Jazz Pants and any color sneakers

DRESS REHEARSAL INFORMATION

May 18th, 2024 at the Institute 

• Each class will have a check-in time. Please be on time. (See below for breakdown).

• At the time of check-in, your mover must come dressed in the proper tights, leotards, hair how you would like in your movers photo, and shoes in their hands. We are not allowing any GLITTER hair spray as it will ruin the floors. 

• Upon check in, your mover will receive all costumes in their costume bag. They will then need to put their costume on in the provided space. We ask one parent to stay to help dress and undress their movers. 

• Once your mover is dressed,  they will run through their dance in costume in Studio B. 

• After the run through of their dance, if you have purchased a showcase photo you will then take the photo with Fluid Frames. You will be given a time slot on the day of dress rehearsal. 

• Your mover will be released once the run through of their dance is complete and they have taken their photo (if purchased).

• You will be responsible for taking your costume home and wearing it to the showcase on show day. Once costumes go home, they should be put away safely and not played in. You will be responsible for all parts of the costume. Your mover should be dressed in their first costume of the performance as indicated on their costume bag. 

• Costumes will be returned during the showcase and if there is any damage or lost items you will be subject to a lost/damaged costume payment to the Institute.

  *Expect each class to be at the Institute for one hour unless your dancer is taking a photo. There will be separate time slots for this.*

Show Day Information

May 19th, 2024 at MATCH (3400 Main Street, Houston, TX 77002)

• Each class will have a check-in time. Please be on time. (See below for breakdown).

• At the time of check-in, your mover must come dressed in their first costume of the show. They must have their costume bag with any additional costumes, shoes they need for the showcase and a change of clothes. Their hair must be in a low bun if possible. We are not allowing any GLITTER hair spray as it will ruin the floors. 

• Once your mover is checked in they will go backstage with an Institute staff member. You will need to wait until the house opens 30 mins prior to the show starting and that is when you will be able to take your seats.

• All movers will turn in their costumes backstage before the end of the performance. If there is any damage or lost items you will be subject to a lost/damaged costume payment. They will bow in their own personal clothes. 

• Movers will be dismissed after the full company bow at the end of the performance from the stage.
